Feeling good about reducing waste has never been easier. From paper and aluminum to used cooking oil and dry cell batteries, we’ll take it off your hands.

Efficient waste reduction

Save room in your trash cart and be friendly to the planet, too! Biweekly recycling pickup (including glass and mixed recyclables) is included as part of your regular trash service. And it’s picked up on the same day of the week, too — how simple is that?

Curbside

Curbside pickup means just that — leave your cart at the curb, we’ll pick it up every other week on the same day as your regular trash service.

Hardship

If your household is unable to get your carts to the curb, let us know — we’ll be glad to discuss the options available to meet your needs.

Not at Curb

Have a lot of ground to cover between your house and the street? We’ll make the trek to fetch your carts from a designated spot on your property.

All the room you need

95-gallon recycling cart

Your recycling cart holds 95 gallons of paper, plastic, tin cans and more — that’s 95 gallons of stuff you can keep out of the waste stream. Plus, you get a separate bin for glass. No matter where you’re located, it’s all included with your regular trash service, so fill ’er up!

Recycling drop-off

Have more recycling than your cart can handle? Bring it by a convenient drop-off location in Salem and Marion County. Pro tip: some locations even accept items that can’t go in your cart — another opportunity to recycle instead of tossing things in the trash!

What can I put in my blue recycling cart?

Your blue cart is for mixed recyclables like paper, tin cans, and plastic jugs. Check out this handy flyer for a visual guide. You might want to print it out and hang it near your recycling container for easy reference!
For a complete guide to recycling, take a look at our searchable disposal guide! Just enter the item you need to get rid of and find out if it belongs in the recycling, trash, or yard debris cart.

What can I put in my red recycling box?

Your red recycling box is for glass and certain liquid recyclables that need to stay out of the big blue cart for safety reasons. Here’s what goes in:

  • Clean, unbroken glass bottles and jars with no lids (but no need to remove labels).
  • Used motor oil. Put it inside a one-gallon plastic jug sealed with a screw-on lid. You can place up to two gallons in your box.
  • Useable latex paint in non-rusted cans; please make sure lids are on tight and there are no leaks. You can place up to two gallons in your box.
  • Dry cell batteries. Seal them in a see-through plastic resealable (zip-top) bag
  • Antifreeze. Place it in a see-through plastic jug with a tight-fitting cap.
  • Used cooking oil. Put it in the same container it came in originally or a clean see-through plastic jug with a tight-fitting cap. You can place up to two gallons in your box.

Please be sure that any jug containing a liquid contains only that liquid; do not mix recyclable liquids together in the same jug or put any other liquid in a jug.

For a complete guide to recycling, take a look at our searchable disposal guide! Just enter the item you need to get rid of and find out if it belongs in the recycling, trash, or yard debris cart.
